WildStar director Mike Donatelli has outlined how the game will evolve over the coming year in a new address to the MMO's community, stating that the development team aims to make Wildstar "less grindy".
Donatelli says the reaction to the game has been "awesome", but there are still areas in need of improvement and Carbine hopes to make WildStar a more enjoyable experience for everyone. The team is going to focus on making the game more fun and "less grindy"; offer a "multitude of playstyles", levels, and group sizes; and expand on and improve the exisitng game.
These tweaks are set to be introduced during the first half of the year, and include other changes such as a more finely tuned endgame reward system to combat fatigue. A wider range of solo and small-group player content will also be available.
Later in the year Carbine plans to introduce a new Contract system to cater to different playstyles and offer a much wider range of customisation options while continuing to fine tune the rewards system.
