Rockstar seems to have confirmed PlayStation 4 transfer to PC for Grand Theft Auto 5.
A fan has attempted to verify this set up with Rockstar for some time now, and finally received an answer from Rockstar after posting it on their official support ticket system the second time.
Rockstar Support used these exact words:
You should be able to transfer your PS4 character to the PC Version when it comes out.
So, not only is the function confirmed but they assure that it will be ready by the time the PC version releases on January 27, 2015. In this way, this fan (and any other player for that matter) can transfer from the PlayStation 3 version to the PlayStation 4 version when it releases tomorrow, November 18, and then to PC.
The answer does not cover Xbox fans, but knowing Rockstar, it is likely that they have also enabled fans to be able to play from Xbox 360, to Xbox One, and then to PC. It’s an arrangement fans would be happy to pay the game three times over for.
Are you going to play the game in this way? Or will you wait for the game’s PC release, or choose one of the consoles? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.
