Destiny On Sale for Ten Dollars Off Found on eBay

A rare deal sprung up today on Buy.com's eBay storefront, with Destiny already going on sale for ten dollars off the PS4 and Xbox One versions (17% for those who want it in percentages). After-release-day deals are common in the PC digital world but always make a treat for console players – especially those still deciding whether or not to purchase the game.

Buy.com (now known as Rakuten) is betting on the hype and selling the PS4 version of Destiny for $49.99 with free shipping. The Xbox One version is also available on sale at a separate page. Word on the street is there are 350 units of the PS4 available, while the Xbox One gets a bigger 500 quantity – rather surprising given the PS4's superior sales have been well-documented. You'd think the purchasing/inventory guy at Buy.com would grab more PS4 units.

(Although on second thought, we can also make the argument that they only have limited quantities of PS4 left to sell at a discount because of how much more popular the PS4 is.)

Judging from current buying trends, we think Destiny on the PS4 will sell out within a few hours, while the Xbox One version may sell out later tonight. Shipping is of course free, with only 9 states subjected to sales tax. (Yep, an even better deal for those who won't get charged with a sales tax. If you can't tell yet, this deal is available only in the US.
