Microsoft has just announced that you can pre-order and pre-download Destiny on the Xbox One, with the download starting today.
Anyone who pre-orders the upcoming first-person shooter from Bungie and Activision through the Xbox One will be able to download the game, but you won’t be able to play it until 12.01am PDT on September 9.
The preload is available to anyone who picks up the Destiny Pre-Order Edition or the Destiny Digital Guardian Edition. You’ll be able to download the game by selecting the “Manage” button on the product details page on your Xbox One.
The Destiny Digital Guardian Edition, which is also available on the PlayStation 4, is set to include a digital download copy of Destiny, access to the Vanguard Armory and Emblem pre-order bonus, an exclusive Ghost casing, player ship, and player emblem, and a reservation for two upcoming Destiny expansions, which includes “all storylines, new cooperative and competitive activities, and new weapons, armor, and gear to earn.”
Destiny is set for a September 9 release on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
