The upcoming Lord of the Rings game from Warner Bros. and Monolith, Shadow of Mordor, is set to get a season pass for a host of DLC that has just been announced for the game. Here’s what’s in store with that.
Players will experience the ‘Guardians of the Flaming Eye’ Orc Warband mission, in which players must face Sauron’s elite Defenders before the Black Gate and earn the Rising Flame rune.
Players will also receive early access to the ‘Trials of War’ challenge series, in which players can test their skills against select legions of Sauron’s army in a series of challenge modes and build their legend as they post their best score on the Challenge leaderboard.
Beyond that, there’s also the Lord of the Hunt mission, in which players hunt wild beasts of Mordor, discovering hidden lairs, earning unique runes, and facing off against powerful monsters; and The Bright Lord, where you take on the role of the Silmarillion character Celebrimbor, an Elven warrior from the world’s Second Age.
Future content is also planned for the game, but details of that have yet to be released. They include player skins and runes.
The Season Pass will be available on all of the game's platforms — PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
