Today we have new details for Dragon Age Inquisition, in the form of some details from a Gamescom interview, as well as some new images.
The one month delay was simply to polish it up, make it as good as they can.
The game has almost 150 hours of gameplay, thanks to it having a massive game world. The Hinterlands level alone is bigger than the entire playable area in Dragon Age Origins. On top of that is the main story mode, as well as all the other things Bioware has laid on top of it.
The crafting system is very deep, and as an example, Bioware explained the process for crafting a suit of armor. First, you would choose your pattern, and then what metals would be used, and then decided if you would use leather, or chain, and so forth. These changes affect not only how the armor will look, but also character stats, so you can craft with that purpose in mind.
Frostbite is a truly more powerful engine compared to its predecessor. There is a feeling of weight in the combat, that you can feel when you swing the axe.
The romance options are more organic and will feel more natural compared to in previous games.
One interesting feature Bioware is introducing in this game is cross platform cloud save. You can switch from Playstation 4, Xbox One, and your PC, and pick up where you left off, as long as you have a copy of the game on all platforms.
To sum up, we have several images with several possible spoilers for your perusal. Here you can see the party selection screen, designed to look like an arrangement of tarot cards. Finally, iour cover image may be spoiling a possible story element, which we may have also seen in the last trailer. It seems that a friendly dragon will ally with you. It may even be a member of the Inquisition.
Dragon Age Inquisition is coming to Windows, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One on October 7.
