Ubisoft has released a new trailer of Assassin’s Creed Unity to present the technology empowering the upcoming third-person action game developed exclusively for the PC and new-gen platforms—the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
According to the studio, Assassin’s Creed Unity is being developed as a “true new-gen experience” unlike anything else the studio is working on.
Narrated by the game’s creative director Alex Amancio, the trailer presents the technological leap in the franchise that allows players to live a “unique experience” in the upcoming game, which is set in the period of 18th century Revolutionary France.
As the first title in the Assassin’s Creed series to skip last-gen platforms like the Wii U, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Unity was built from the ground up with new technology including a redesigned game engine, allowing for massive crowds, a refined fighting skills and combat system, and more realistic freerunning than ever before.
Assassin’s Creed Unity will be released for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on October 28, Ubisoft has confirmed.
