The first chapter of the three part The Lost Crowns DLC for Dark Souls 2 titled Crown of the Sunken King isn't out until next week but screenshots have already emerged and have been posted on Total Xbox.
Crown of the Sunken King taskes players acquiring the crown once claimed by Drangleic's King Vendrick and FromSoftware claims the DLC brings an "entirely different" world to Dark Souls 2. The DLC takes place within a huge underground cavern filled with stepped pyramids and it's here that legend says one of the crowns is located.
Players who complete all three segments of The Lost Crowns will receive a special reward but the DLC is said to be even harder than the main game.
A season pass is available for the DLC on all three platforms. Crown of the Sunken King will be released on Tuesday, July 22nd for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. European PS3 owners will need to wait until the following day when the region's PlayStation Store is updated.
Dark Souls 2 developer FromSoftware is currently working on Bloodbourne for PS4 with Sony Japan Studios. You can check out the screenshots below.
