Japanese gaming magazine Corocoro has shared a new batch of information for Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.
First off, we get to see Mega Sceptile, Mega Swampert, and Mega Diancie. They keep their regular Pokemon form types, except for Mega Sceptile, which becomes Grass/Dragon type. Mega Sceptile’s ability is Lightning Rod, and Mega Swampert’s, Swift Swim. No name for Mega Diancie’s yet.
Groudon and Kyogre get special Mega Evolutions, called Ancient Devolution. They go back to the species of their predecessors, either called Primal, Prehistoric, or Primeval. So, they may be called Prehistoric Groudon and Prehistoric Kyogre, although I suspect the Nintendo Treehouse will come up with a snappier and simpler name than this.
Steven Stone is apparently part of this as well. He has a Mega Charizard X and is trying to figure out the secret of Mega Evolution. Coming back with him are Team Aqua, Team Magma, as well as the Mach Bikes and Acro Bikes.
Team Magma is led by Maxie, with his admins Tabitha and Courtney. In the meantime, Team Aqua is led by Archie, with his admins Matt and Shelley. Everyone, including the player’s trainers, have been redesigned from the ground up.
Much like the original games, the teams you face depends on whether you got Omega Ruby orAlpha Sapphire.
Finally, there’s a new Mega Evolution activation item this time around; the Mega Bangle.
Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are coming November 2014 to 3DS. You can check out all the screens below.
