Crimes & Punishments: Sherlock Holmes Gets Trailered for E3

June 6, 2014 by Ian Miles Cheong

A new Sherlock Holmes game gets trailered ahead of its E3 presentation.

Crimes & Punishments, the new Sherlock Holmes investigation title for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 has been given a new trailer by its publisher Focus Home Interactive, in the run-up to E3 in Los Angeles, where the game will be available on display at the Focus booth.

Like previous games in the series, Crimes & Punishments comes with a host of independent investigations that players can undertake. There are six this time around, each of which is packed full of suspects that you will be able to identify using clues gathered at crime scenes or from information gleaned during interrogations.

Here are the details: “However, although every case may generate a number of potential suspects, you'll still have to determine the real perpetrator of the crime by an astute deduction of the chain of events based on all the evidence you have collected during your investigation.

“But beware; if your deductions are incorrect or if you rush to solve a case without assembling all the relevant clues, you may accuse the wrong suspect and condemn an innocent person which, as this new trailer will demonstrate, could have some disastrous repercussions!”

Crimes & Punishments is the first title in the Sherlock Holmes series of games that uses Epic’s Unreal Engine 3 for a “richer, more immersive and detailed rendering of both the environments and characters.”
