Naughty Dog artist Marek Okon posted the above image on his Facebook account along with the comment "Let me tease you something… it's coming."
However, Okon then told Kotaku that the image was just "fan art". Many speculated that the picture depicted an adult version of The Last of Us' Ellie. In a statement in GameSpot, he added, "[The] image you are referring to is a strictly personal one, just loosely based on The Last of Us universe. I guess you could say it's a fan art."
In the comments section of the Facebook image, Okon elaborated:
"So before its [sic] gonna get blown out of proportions [sic] – it's gonna be strictly personal image. Is it about TLOU2? Not really… Maybe… It's classified ;P But seriously it's gonna be just a fan art ;]"
While the image isn't confirmation of The Last of Us 2, Naughty Dog game director Bruce Straley recently tweeted:
I got goosebumps playing & talking thru a prototype a designer was sketching in yesterday! That's how I know… #GonnaBeAwesome

It's unclear whether he's talking about Uncharted PS4 or another project, however. Uncharted PS4 was announced last November but Naughty Dog has revealed no information on it since and more will likely be shown at Sony's E3 media briefing next month.
While Okon's image may only be fan art, The Last of Us broke PS3 sales records and is currently being ported to the PS4 while a movie adaptation is also in development so it's extremely likely Naughty Dog will develop a sequel.
