Only half of the content that is planned for Wasteland 2 is currently available in the game’s Early Access beta on Steam. A new update set for release next week will increase the size of the game world significantly, adding to the beta “most of the Arizona portion of the game.”
According to "beta testing metrics and feedback,” the game’s developers at InXile estimate that Wasteland 2 will take about 50 hours to complete for a regular playthough—once it’s done, that is.
In addition to the Arizona news, the studio also teased the location for the second portion of the game, which takes place in post-apocalyptic Los Angeles (seen above). The locale will feature the ruins of familiar landmarks overgrown with plant life and brimming with weird, mutant creatures. It will be a separate map from the Arizona location.
The Arizona update is due for release next week on Steam, but you can play the game right now through Steam Early Access to experience a taste of the game.
