Bohemia Interactive engaged in a Twitch.tv stream broadcasting their presentation at the Rezzed event in the UK, where they revealed the development roadmap for their standalone DayZ title, which started development as a mod for Arma 2 and has since become its own full-fledged game. Development of the standalone DayZ remains on-going despite being available to the public since 2013.
To date, the game remains one of the most popularly streamed games on Twitch.tv and with good reason—it’s more than a little engaging for players thanks to its survival aspects.
In any case, the development roadmap had details on all their plans for DayZ, which includes the addition of a bow and arrow weapon, fireplaces, and a host of network optimizations. Among other things, the game will be removing spawn penalties for joining the same server and is set for release in two weeks at the earliest, or at the end of April at the latest.
