Fortnite loves its crossover events and we’ve seen a ton of them over the years. It’s quite exciting to see just what character or items make their way into the game and while most of these crossover events deal with an upcoming release of a movie or a game, it looks like we may get a new Avenger event. It’s not official yet, but it looks like Captain America may make an appearance within the game soon.
This information comes from a dataminer by the name of VastBlast who was able to discover some line of text after the recent Fortnite update. Now, this is just a rumor at this point as nothing official has been confirmed, but it does look like that Epic Games will be adding Captain America and his shield into the game at some point. This shield will apparently act as both a backpack along with a pickaxe and while it doesn’t say anything regarding the skin, it would likely be included in the Captain America shield is coming.
We’ve seen superhero characters make an appearance in Fortnite in the past, most recently it was Deadpool. However, all we have right now is some leaks through datamining and nothing official regarding what is inbound for Fortnite. Being that Fortnite is one of the biggest free-to-play video game titles available right now, it’s likely something that will be kept from open statements until Epic Games is ready to announce despite leaks and rumors flooding the internet.
In other news, Fortnite was recently featuring movie nights with the first one being last weekend. Depending on your region, players could join together and watch in-game a few different movies with the United States offering Inception at a few different showings.
