It’s time to deck the halls with Goku, hang up some mistletoe for that special Bulma in your life, and stuff a box full of coal just for Vegeta. That’s right – a new Dragon Ball Z game is on the way, and if you’re at all curious as to what any one developer could still do create some buzz around a new fighting game based on the legendary anime, the demo is now available.
Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z is all about team-based combat with up to eight players, including four players on the same team. Just like the TV show, the battles here will be massive, and the demo will give players a taste of that scope. The trial includes the first four missions from the story mode, four playable characters (Goku, Kid Gohan, Krillin and Piccolo), online co-op, and online team 4-vs-4 battle. If you’re worried about sinking a bunch of time into the demo without being able to transfer the data, Namco Bandai is here to ease your fears. Some of the demo data will be moveable to the full game.
You can download the demo right now on the Xbox 360, with the PlayStation 3 and Vita versions expected to be released later today. Start pretending to charge up your Ki now, folks. The game is almost here.
