Dota 2 received a huge patch today, carrying with it a number of interesting new additions and changes including Diretide.
Titled the "Three Spirits Update", the latest patch for Dota 2 introduces two new heroes—the Earth Spirit and Ember Spirit. The Storm Spirit, which is already in the game, has also been given a makeover.
In addition to the two new characters and the one revamped character, the update brings in in-game coaching, which allows veteran players to join matches and use the spectator tools to draw lines, drop pings, and give advice to rookies over chat.
Also added is Showcase View, which lets players zoom and pan in on matches and get replays from a different, more cinematic perspective of the environment.
In addition to all the new stuff, the patch drops a bunch of fixes, rebalances, and new player items and treasures as well as the promised return of the Diretide event.
