Call of Duty is a major console selling franchise. There is no stopping the growing player base for the franchise and as the years go by, more and more video game installments are released into the market. Right now, most are looking at the next mainline console and PC installment to the series, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. However, there is a mobile version of the game releasing and we’re not talking about the RTS style game available today. Players will be getting a full multiplayer Call of Duty experience with Call of Duty: Mobile which is slated to release on both Android and iOS platforms this October.
We’re gearing up to the launch of Call of Duty: Mobile and while the game boasts a true multiplayer experience for players on-the-go with a device you already own, there is potential for a massive adoption base. From die-hard fans to casual gamers, chances are you’ll give the mobile adaptation a go if not for the various multiplayer game modes then the included battle royale tucked inside.
The main problem that most gamers will likely agree with is that touch controls are just bad. It’s not a comfortable means of playing an FPS style video game. Smartphones can get warm, the screen sometimes causes major finger drag and not to mention the smudges you’re left cleaning up afterward. As a result, those that really want to make the most out of a video game through their smartphone devices will likely pair it with a controller.
There are a ton of applications available that allow players to make use of a controller with their smartphone and tablet devices. Luckily, the upcoming video game application, Call of Duty: Mobile, will come with controller support already included. This is a great means of enjoying the video game title and likely has even more players interested in this upcoming video game release. Now the unfortunate thing about this is that there could be some advantage used for players using the controller compared to the touchscreen so only time will tell how big of a difference there will be between players using a controller and those that are using the displays of their device. Call of Duty: Mobile launches on October 1, 2019, for both the Android and iOS platforms.
