Indie 2D platformer Aaru's Awakening is seeking support for a Steam Greenlight release. The game sees the titular Aaru travel to four temples which he shown by his master, Dawn, and must destroy.
Players guide Aaru across levels by plotting out a path for him to progress across and you'll get a better idea of how this works in the gameplay trailer below which, unusually enough, sees you die several times – possibly suggesting the game itself won't be too easy.
Aaru's Awakening requires players to make the most of Aaru's teleportation and charging ablities as he travels through the world of Lumenox to defeat an evil entity.
In the game world there is a balance between four domains; Dawn, Day, Dusk and Night. However, this delicate situation is being threatened by the power of Night. In response, Dawn sends out his champion, Aaru, to travel to Night’s domain and restore balance.
Each domain is said to have its own unique visual flair and the trailer certainly hints at a beautiful game world. If you'd like to give Aaru's Awakening some support then head over to its Greenlight page.
The title is being developed by Icelandic studio Lumenox.
