Dead Or Alive 6: How To Earn Point Multipliers, Meter & More | DOAQuest Guide

March 5, 2019 by Kevin Thielenhaus

Some of the quests in DOAQuest are a real pain in the butt. Here’s how to earn point multipliers, how to earn meter faster, and everything you need to know that the game doesn’t explain.

DOAQuest is new to the Dead Or Alive series — in addition to a traditional story mode, arcade, time-attack, and survival, you’ll also get DOAQuest. In this mode, you’ll be rewarded for completing challenges. Each ‘mission’ is a battle against one or more opponents, with three specific requirements you need to fulfill. Sometimes you’ll need to perform 10 holds, or 5 throws. Sometimes, it can get pretty complicated.

Most of the challenges are self-explanatory, and the game even offers a quick tutorial you can play that explains the challenges if you’re ever stuck. But there are some challenges this game just does not explain at all. It doesn’t tell you how to earn meter faster, and it absolutely does not explain how to earn the most points in Survival battles. I’m going to provide a few tips below to (hopefully) help you make sense of these systems.

How To Earn Point Multipliers, Meter & More | DOAQuest Guide

Some of the most perplexing challenges in DOAQuest involve two things — filling your meter faster, and earning points. There are plenty of other missions that are tough, and I’m going to attempt to explain what you need to know about all of them. I’ll start with the most perplexing, and move down the list.

NOTE: Many challenges might look complex, but they’re pretty simple if you understand the terminology. Check and see if there is a tutorial notification on your quest screen, after selecting the mission you want — press [Triangle] to immediately jump to the tutorial. Unfortunately, you may have to do this multiple times to reach the particular challenge you want on the list.

One of the most common and annoying challenges is all about earning points. If you need to earn points, you’ll always be in a Survival mode. That means there is only one round, and opponents will continuously appear from the sidelines, one after another. You will only heal partially after each fight, but Survival items will also heal you. Here’s how to earn points.

  • NOTE: Also, it’s important to know that all three challenge objectives DO NOT need to be completed at the same time. You can do each challenge separately.

How To Earn Points In Survival Challenges Faster

Often, you’ll need 700,000 / 1,000,000 points. Points are NOT earning when you throw. You’ll get points from strikes, combos, and picking up survival items.

  • The easiest way to earn points is to launch opponents into the wall. Wall-hits get you point modifiers.
    • 1 wall-hit = x2 points
    • 2 wall-hits = x4 points
  • And so on.

You can also earn points and heal by collecting survival items. Learn a down-attack / ground-attack, and spam it whenever you knock your opponent down. You can easily get one survival item for almost every knock down.

How To Earn Meter Faster

Some challenges ask you to earn a certain amount of meter in a single move.

  • You’ll earn more meter from Holds.

How To Do High Damage / Defeat Boss With Break

The ‘boss’ of a challenge is the final opponent. The ‘defeat’ only counts as the last attack that KOs. The Break Blow / Super has a setup — your first attack will do a little damage, but only the powerful second strike counts as a break blow. You have to defeat your opponent with that powerful second strike to complete the objective.
