It’s the New Year and there is plenty of chatter online when it comes to the new slew of video games slated to launch before the end of 2019. With that said, there is still plenty of rumors and suggestions online that indicate Microsoft along with Sony will be making their next generation consoles known to the world. There’s not just speculation coming out of what we can expect in the future from fans. Developers are starting to speak up about the new exciting rumors of the coming years. For instance, Square Enix head, Yosuke Matsuda, recently posted on the official Square Enix website with his thoughts of the near future for video games will hold.
There appears to be a big focus on online streaming for Square Enix. During his post Yosuke spoke of the potential video game streaming has in the industry. In particular, there’s a feeling that streaming video games won’t be just limited to PlayStation and Xbox. Instead, we could see other competitive video game services pop up and support a Netflix style option where gamers can pay a monthly fee to enjoy some of the latest video game titles. We don’t see just what services the Square Enix boss has in mind but perhaps he has already been approached about the ideal in the past.
With services like PlayStation Now a hit for gamers who wish to enjoy a nice catalog of video games for a one set monthly price, maybe it’s possible to see other similar services pop up online. This is all speculative for now, but if you’re interested in seeing just what all Yosuke Matsuda had to say about the matter then we suggest looking at the official blog post right here.
