New Zelda Ocarina of Time Fan Remake Is Unbelievable

December 27, 2018 by Dennis Patrick

New update for the Unreal Engine 4 fan remake is now officially live.

The Legend of Zelda franchise is one cherished by fans all over the world and since its debut back on the original Nintendo Entertainment System, Nintendo is still bringing out new installments with the latest being The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Everyone seems to have their own favorite installment from the franchise but most would agree that on the top or very near it is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. This game first hit the marketplace back during the days of the Nintendo 64 and was an instant classic hit. Now that time has passed, Nintendo has some stiff competition if they ever decide to give the game a proper remake.

One fan has been working on a remake for quite some time and over the years we’ve seen demos released to showcase his work. We’re referring to CryZENx’s The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake. Using the Unreal Engine to bring the game into the new age, this title has never looked better and we’re constantly looking to find out more about the project. Recently, the fan remake hit a new milestone with an updated download available for fans wanting to enjoy the game in its current format.

Using Unreal Engine 4, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time never looked better and now the game is a bit more seamless. Past demos allowed gamers to enjoy sections of the game while this demo is pretty open with the sections available. Essentially, players will be able to roam the sections freely and play through some of the story along with fighting enemies or speaking with NPCs.

To be a bit more specific, the areas available are the Temple of Time, Kakariko Village, and lastly, Kokiri Forest. We’re likely to see even more improvements to this remake throughout 2019 but for now, you can enjoy this demo or you can enjoy the game demo footage posted above.
