The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt developer CD Projekt Red has opened a new studio in its native Poland in the city of Krakow with 20 staff. The creation of the studio was first announced in June.
This new outfit will aid in the development of both Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077.
According to a company spokesperson the Krakow operation will work on "smaller but top quality titles… that will support one of our product lines."
In a statement issued today by CD Projekt Red president Adam Badowski the company said "A new studio, new people and new energy – we're growing and we're extremely excited that we can tap into the potential that Krakow has to offer.
"We want to continue to make better and better RPGs and the new studio is another big step in that direction. Krakow, one of the cultural and scientific centers of Europe, is a really special place that will leave a significant mark on our games."
Wild Hunt is due for release in 2014 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Cyberpunk 2077 does not currently have a release window but will be released on next-gen platforms.
