One of the more anticipated video games of this year is just a few weeks away and we’re eagerly waiting to get our hands on a copy. Red Dead Redemption 2 is the next installment to the Red Dead franchise but will take place prior to the events of Red Dead Redemption. Over the past couple of months the development team Rockstar Games has been revealing a few more details regarding the game and today we have even more information to spread.
Noted on the official Red Dead Redemption 2 blog, Rockstar Games offers a few details regarding the wildlife in the game. We knew that wildlife will play an important part of the game, but Rockstar Games decided to offer a few more fine details such as the animals you may come across during your adventure. For instance, during your travels, Arthur may come across coyotes, vultures, alligators, bears and an assortment of different fish.
The video game also makes hunting and fishing a necessity for survival along with income. Players will have wildlife to hunt for resources and food but can also be used to earn a profit at local butchers. This also applies to fish but both fishing and hunting will require specific weapons such as specific lures or hunting rifles.
Speaking of wildlife, horses are still a major part of this upcoming installment. There will apparently be nearly twenty breeds of horses which may have specific attributes however, you’ll want to take care of your horses in general as you’ll increase the bond resulting in better performance and handling.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will be launching on October 26, 2018, for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.
