Battlestar Galactica writer Michael Angeli has revealed that is working with Sony Santa Monica on a new game project that isn't connected to God of War.
Speaking to Polygon after a Comic-Con panel where he made the revelation Angeli said he's been involved in the project for the past two and a half years.
Following the release of God of War: Ascension in March Sony Santa Monica's full team of a around 150 developers migrated to the new and, as yet, unannounced project.
Due to the fact that the game has not yet been announced Angeli could not elaborate on the nature of the project or what platform it might be in development for. However, every Sony internal studio is working on PS4 games and to date Santa Monica Studios has not revealed any titles for the console.
The studio is however assisting Ready At Dawn in the development of The Order: 1886.
Ascension players were able to decode a hidden image and reveal the image at the top of this post. Based on the tagline it seems that whatever Santa Monica is up to will be a sci-fi game – which is where Angeli's Galactica experience will no doubt come in handy.
Sony has 30 games being developed at its first party studios for PS4 and 12 of them are new IPs.
