Ace Combat Infinity Announced for PS3

Are you ready to take to the skies once more?

Namco Bandai has today confirmed Ace Combat Infinity after teasing the game last week. Infinity will be a PlayStation 3 exclusive.

The above trailer provides little information about the game except for the tagline which reads: "That day our sky fell, the heavens split to create new skies."

It's unclear what happened but it seems a meteor may have struck the Earth.

Regardless, Infinity is being developed by long-time Ace Combat developer Project Aces. Ace Combat: Assault Horizon, the last entry in the series, was released for PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2011 and on PC this year. Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy was also released in 2011.

However, it seems that Infinity is a PS3-only title. The game does not currently appear to have a confirmed release date.
