Cyberpunk 2077 Now Completely Playable For Development Team

August 23, 2018 by Dennis Patrick

The game is now playable from start to finish.

CD Projekt Red has been teasing their upcoming video game IP, Cyberpunk 2077 for a while now and its last big showing happened during E3 2018. It was here that gamers really got to see the in-game world but it was also during this event that the developers kept quiet on when players can expect the game. For the most part, it appeared that Cyberpunk 2077 was a few years away before it was ready to launch.

However, during Gamescom Cyberpunk 2077 was once again present showing off new images and information for attendees. The developers are still telling a personal story in a world where corrupt governments and big business control society which is what producer Richard Borzymowski unveiled to Engadget during an interview.

This upcoming title doesn’t have too many fine details released yet but according to Borzymowski, the game is not about saving the world or destroying the corrupt beast. Instead, players are likely going through a more in-depth personal journey, but again we’ll have to wait and see just what the narrative has in store for us.

“We want to always keep it personal. We don’t want to tell a story about rescuing the world. We don’t want to basically destroy the system.”

Despite the game being a few years away, developers may be further along than most had originally thought. Apparently, the game is now completely playable from start to finish. There are of course bugs and not all the assets are available, but at the very least the game is moving along at a good pace.

We’re unsure just when Cyberpunk 2077 will release but the game will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
