The Xbox One launched all the way back in 2013 and now we’re looking at a ton of great video games available within the catalog. There’s a bit of a challenge to go out and pick up every big video game release or download that comes out so a few may have slipped through the cracks. If that’s the case then we have a great list for you. From those who have purchased a console unit the day it launched to newcomers to the platform, we have some of the best Xbox One games you can purchase on the cheap.
We tried to list down some of the titles that normally released with a full video game launch price of around $59.99. While not all of the games in this list released for that particular price, the titles included are discounted now. Don’t pass up on adding these games into your library.
Enter The Gungeon
Enter the Gungeon can be a punishing adventure to take on. Players will be going through a series of procedural-generated levels as they hunt down loot and face against an array of enemies. While you may find yourself taking quite a few deaths along the journey, the game’s ability to reward players with powerful weaponry will entice you into returning for more. Best of all, the game offers a co-op mode to help aid in the journey into the gungeon.
Night In The Woods
Night in the Woods is another title that has become a favorite for fans of the adventure genre. Within the game, players take on the role of a young character by the name of Mae who dropped out of college.
Now back at her hometown and living with her parents, Mae discovers how much time has passed which changed not only her hometown but the friends that she grew up with. This adventure title quickly takes Mae into the woods where she begins to uncover a hidden secret that the town kept long ago.
The Walking Dead: The Final Season
The Walking Dead: The Final Season almost didn’t come out fully as midway into the video game development, Telltale Games closed its doors and this installment was left in limbo. Luckily, Skybound Games stepped up and brought out the final episodes of the game. As the name suggests, this is meant to be the closing season of The Walking Dead for the protagonist throughout the series, Clementine. If you haven’t already played the past video game titles released then we highly recommend going back as it’s quite the deep narrative journey.
Outlast
Outlast is a first-person survival psychological horror title by development team Red Barrels. The game follows a freelance investigative journalist named Miles Upshur who is searching out a remote psychiatric hospital.
However, what Miles finds is not only disturbing but dangerous leaving him to fight for his life. Being more of a survival horror title, players are encouraged to use stealth to their advantage while maneuvering over various obstacles. Likewise, a big portion of the game is based on the use of a night vision camera to see what is around the area. However, limited batteries are required to run the camera forcing players to seek out replacements as they progress through the narrative campaign.
Cuphead
Cuphead, developed by StudioMDHR Entertainment, is a run and gun platform indie title. Overall, the narrative follows Cuphead and his brother Mugman, as they end up making a terrible bet against the devil. Losing the bet, Cuphead and Mugman are forced to give their souls to the devil, but it seems that our protagonist duo can save themselves if they go out and collect debts owed to the devil.
The devil has a number of souls that are owed to him by other sorrowful cartoon characters. If Cuphead and Mugman can go out and collect all the souls then the devil may just allow them to keep their own souls in return. However, debt collecting is easier said than done, both Cuphead and Mugman will have a difficult road ahead of themselves
This is a perfect game to play with a friend as the majority of the game is filled with bosses to defeat. Each boss can be difficult making players to remember their moves and dodge attacks otherwise you’ll find yourself restarting the boss fight.
