The Best Xbox One Games That Are Now Dirt Cheap

June 4, 2019 by Dennis Patrick

Add these Xbox One games into your collection.

Batman: Arkham Knight
  • Xbox $19.99

If you’re coming from Batman: Arkham City and looking to get a bit more of the caped crusader then Batman: Arkham Knight is one title not to miss out on. The video game acts as a sequel to the Arkham City release where the game picks up one year following the previous title events.

Within the game, Scarecrow had unleashed an attack on Gotham City causing a massive evacuation. Teamed up with a mysterious enemy known as the Arkham Knight, Batman is left within a barren city filled with his greatest foes.

Much like Batman: Arkham City, Arkham Knight allows players to freely transverse through the world map and take on additional side missions. Likewise, developers, Rocksteady Studios introduced a new element to the franchise, the Batmobile.

Batman’s famous vehicle is not only used to help our hero to travel throughout the city, but also a means to solve puzzles along with acting as another combat tool.

The Evil Within
  • Xbox $19.99

The Evil Within was directed by Resident Evil series creator, Shinji Mikami as the game focuses on Sebastian Castellanos a detective that gets pulled into a distorted world during an investigation. Staying true to the survival horror genre, The Evil Within will have players struggling against a fight with nightmarish creatures while avoiding traps, sneaking around the world, and solving complex puzzles.

Overall, reception of the game was positive with players enjoying the old school survival horror feel when other long-lasting franchises such as Resident Evil was moving towards an action-oriented gameplay.

Firewatch
  • Xbox $19.99

Firewatch is the debut title for development studio’s Campo Santo. Within the game, players take on the role of a forest fire lookout named Henry. Set back in 1989, Henry’s only form of communication is through a walkie-talkie to another nearby forest fire lookout named Delilah.

Overall, Henry is tasked with maintaining the safety of the forest and preventing forest fires if possible. However, there seems to be something more going out in the woods leading to potential sabotage. During this narrative adventure title, players will discover the reason behind Henry taking a job that essentially secludes him from the outside world.

Stardew Valley
  • Xbox $14.99

Stardew Valley has been a huge hit that acts very much like the Harvest Moon franchise. This is a farming style simulation title where players take on the role of a character who inherits their grandfather’s dilapidated farm.

Again, much like Harvest Moon, the game will have players tending to crops and their livestock while also introducing craft goods, mining, among other social activities. Since its release back in 2016 the video game became a massive hit and has sold over three million units by the end of 2017.

Dishonored
  • Xbox $19.99

If you enjoy stealth action-adventure titles then chances are you have already picked up a copy of Dishonored from development team, Arkane Studios. The video game takes place in a steampunk style city known as Dunwall where players take the role of a body guard to an Empress. However, when the Empress is murdered our hero is falsely blamed leaving him to escape his imprisonment and track down those who are responsible.

Players will find themselves armed with a few stealthy weapons but the real combat aspect that players will be making use of is the various supernatural powers such as agility, time manipulation and taking possession of another body.
