Since day one, those interested in Wii U have wondered about the possibility of connecting more than just one GamePad to the console. And Nintendo's potion has always been a vague about the matter.
Eventually it was confirmed that two can be connected at once, but very little has been said about the possibility of actually acquiring a second GamePad, and there are no games either available now or on the horizon that would support this feature to begin with.
Still, it's something that some folks are simply interested in. And one possible avenue has been acquiring a second GamePad from Japan. Unfortunately, those actually interested in taking the plunge should know that it has recently been discovered that they are region locked.
The discovery comes from Destructoid, and it should honestly come as no real surprise. After all, video game hardware has long been restricted to their region of origin. Though it would seem the idea of a peripheral (no matter how advanced it might be, to the point that it can be considered a system all by itself) is also getting the same treatment.
