Phil Spencer Reveals Xbox One X Pre-orders are Almost Ready

Xbox head Phil Spencer has announced on Twitter that the wait for Xbox One X pre-orders “won’t be too much longer”. The news comes a little over a month since the Xbox One X was officially unveiled at E3, where it was hailed as “the world’s most powerful console”.

Microsoft is marketing the Xbox One X around its impressive graphical abilities, which support 4K resolution and topple the PS4 Pro specs with 6 terraflops and extra RAM for better visual performance. These fine-tuned enhancements have bumped up the price, but according to Spencer, Xbox One X is “in a different league” to PS4 Pro and the price reflects that. Xbox Program Management Director Mike Ybarra also mentioned the Xbox One X’s speciality will be true immersion, in which “people will lose track of time because they’ll be having so much fun”.
