Sony has released a new video feature for God of War: Ascension that details the creative process. In this first video, which is titled The Desert of Lost Souls Part One, shows how the "Megalops" or "Megaclops" goes from concept to actually being in the game.
What's interesting here is we get to see the Megalops rendered and we even see how it looks with its jaw split open. Needless to say, it's not a pretty sight.
Give the seven-minute video a watch below.
Aside from the Megalops, the environments are also shown and we get to see how graphic artists render the game's environments to match the in-game motif.
Sony Santa Monica's staff also reveals that God of War: Ascension has been in development for two years now, which means they pretty much worked on this right after God of War 3.
Can God of War: Ascension match the franchise's scope and ambition? More importantly (to me, at least), will it answer the question left hanging in God of War 3 even if it's a prequel? We'll know for sure once God of War: Ascension hits on March, 2013 for the PS3.
