As PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale goes gold, Sony has announced the first piece of DLC in the form of two new characters: Kat from Gravity Rush, and Emmett Graves from Starhawk.
Kat is the main character in Vita game Gravity Rush, and uses gravity to her advantage when moving around her world. Emmett is the main character in PS3 game Starhawk, and can build things like bunkers and armouries in the middle of a battle. Both will have abilities in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale that reflect these:
In addition to the signature weapons you’ll remember from his duels with the Outcasts on Dust, Emmett’s play-style will also utilise Starhawk’s unique “Build-in-Battle” system, calling down help from the sky.
Kat’s approach turns gravity on its head with some mind-bending new ways to move as she positions herself for her unique brand of aerial assault.
It's nice to see that SuperBot Entertainment has decided to add another female character to its particularly imbalanced roster. What's even nicer is that this piece of DLC will be completely free for the first two weeks in which it's available. Charging players for the privilege of having a third female character from which to choose would have been quite shifty, so it's good to see the team has decided against it. For now.
