The latest expansion to be released for Hearthstone is Journey to Un’Goro and it comes with some pretty big game changing cards and features. Today, Blizzard has officially released the launch date for the expansion which gamers can expect to see on April 6, 2017.
Just as the development team did in the past, we’ve been seeing little sneak peeks as to what new cards will be added into the video game. There is a total of 135 new cards being placed within the game and so far we’ve seen plenty that will make for new strategic gameplay.
For instance, there will be the inclusion of Quest cards that will task players with a mission to complete within the match. Take Open the Waygate card which is a Quest card that tasks the player to play six spells and by doing so, the player will receive the five-mana drop card known as Time Warp which gives them an additional turn.
While the new game expansion doesn’t launch until April 6, 2017, players can get a discount on the card packs. Again, much like how Blizzard handled previous expansion for Hearthstone, pre-ordering a pack of 50 card packs will only cost gamers $50.
Since there are a few big changes coming to the video game with this expansion, we’re curious to see how players react to them and if it will cost Blizzard any longtime fans of Hearthstone. Likewise, this could bring in a fresh new set of players who were not interested in the video game prior to this update.
