Sony has released a new behind-the-scenes video showing some of the motion capture work that went into making the debut trailer for Naughty Dog's upcoming survival horror game, The Last of Us.
The most fascinating thing here is how much was revised between this rough cut of the trailer and the finished product. The early version features quite a bit of narration from Ellie that was eventually cut completely. They also changed the scene where Joel grapples with Mr. Fungus Zombie to have Ellie come to his rescue, presumably because she comes off as a fairly helpless bystander in this version.
And hey, if you're just here to have a laugh at the dayglo mocap suits, feel free to sit back and watch Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson run around and look silly.
The Last of Us, a PlayStation 3 exclusive, is currently slated for release sometime between late 2012 and early 2013.
