The latest PlayStation Vita update is causing major stability problems for many users.
Update 3.57 went online on January 20th and has caused severe issues according to numerous forums. The PlayStation Support site states that the update's purpose is to remove Facebook functionality on both PlayStation Vita and PlayStation TV. Users say they're unable to access online services including PlayStation Network and PlayStation Store with battery draining difficulties also being reported.
There are multiple threads on the official PlayStation Forums, Reddit, and NeoGAF.
It's unclear how many users who've updated are experiencing these issues and Sony has yet to comment on the situation.
Just to be safe it's probably best not to update your Vita for the moment.
