We talked about the Gamestop-exclusive Red Hood story pack DLC just last week, speculating that we’d have a Red Hood trailer soon. A trailer has just been released, and while it’s not the #BeTheRedHood trailer we hoped for it to be, it still says and shows us a bit about what Red Hood’s going to be like in the game.
We’ve already mentioned that Red Hood has a different approach to justice, compared to Batman. He has no qualms with killing, and it looks like he’ll be making bad guys drop dead left and right as expected. In the trailer, we start in the Gotham Acres Funeral Home at closing time, and a newsflash about the Red Hood dispensing his brand of justice means they’ve got to work overtime. The reactions of the funeral home clerks to the newsflash is telling of how this news isn’t really surprising to them anymore. In fact, the lack of response is almost disturbing, but it adds to the reputation that one would hold as the Red Hood.
It’s mildly disappointing that we didn’t get much by way of a live action Red Hood, it's almost like Gamestop wants us to want that #BeTheRedHood trailer even more than we already do. However, they did present us with just enough gameplay footage to keep us looking forward to this story pack. There’s still three weeks left until the game drops, and the Red Hood story pack DLC will be available exclusively through Gamestop pre-order. Batman: Arkham Knight will be released on June 23 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
