The free-to-play mobile game Final Fantasy Agito will be released on Windows 10, Square Enix announced during the de:code 2015 conference, a Microsoft event.
No official release date was given at the time; however an announcement of the release date is expected later this year.
Final Fantasy Agito is a free-to-play mobile game released in Japan last year that is set in the same universe as Final Fantasy Type-0, which saw an HD re-release earlier this year. In Agito, players design a character for themselves. That character then attends an academy that specializes in magic and partakes in missions. The gameplay’s combat is turn-based and also features item crafting and a job system for skills.
A PlayStation Vita version of Agito is also in development.
Final Fantasy Type-0 HD was released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in March, but according to an optional survey, more than 80% of people who purchased Type-0 HD did so in order to play the accompanying demo of Final Fantasy 15, titled Episode Duscae.
