A new video from YouTuber Open World Games details weapons, a fan-made artbook, and weather effects in The Division.
Check out the full video below:
The weapons in question are the HK417 (or possibly the AR10 or AR15), the Remington 870 tactical shotgun, the Chris Victor 10, the British L86, the HK4AR, and the M14 modified mid-range sniper rifle. Open World Games notes that Red Storm Entertainment, one of the developers on Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, are working on the weapons in The Division.
A fan-made artbook has been put together on MyDivision.net, using official artwork and screenshots from The Division, as well as fan-made artwork. The book also has descriptions and “vital information about The Division,” such as talents, skills, the companion app, etc. The artbook is German, but can be translated through most web browsers.
Finally, Open World Games shares details about the weather system in The Division, in particular snow particles. Snow effects/particles will be “a real part of the environment,” and players will be able to see their avatars react to the snow in real time through animations such as brushing snow off of their clothes or seeing snow melt off of their clothing after stepping into a room that is warm enough.
The Division has faced a series of delays following its reveal at E3 2013, most recent of which was an announcement that the game has been delayed until the first quarter of 2016.
