The next two pieces of the promised 16 free pieces of DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt are set to be released this Wednesday, May 27, 2015.
This DLC includes a new contract for players to take up that is appropriately named “Missing Miners” and sends players on a mission to locate and rescue a group of miners that have gone missing. The second DLC item for this week will be an alternate look for Yennefer, one of the game’s primary NPCs.
These pieces of DLC fall in line with CD Projekt RED’s promise to provide two pieces of DLC every Wednesday following the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt last week, culminating in 16 pieces of free DLC total.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was released last week and saw the first two pieces of this DLC plan, a horse armor set and beard/hairstyle for Geralt, release the following day on May 20. No information has been released on what the remaining 12 pieces of DLC will be.
For those willing to pony up a little extra cash, CD Projekt RED will also be releasing two larger pieces of DLC, titled Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, totaling roughly 30 hours of gameplay combined. Hearts of Stone will be available this October, while Blood and Wine won’t be released until the first quarter of 2016.
