Renegade Kid head Jools Watsham has revealed in a livestream that the developer is working on a port of Dementium: The Ward for the 3DS.
The game put the developer on the map, as an atmospheric first person shooter on the DS. It is highly regarded as a technical achievement for the platform, with believable flashlight effects that seem to match what you would find on more powerful consoles.
For the longest time, Jools told fans not to seek a sequel, as the rights to the game and its sequel lay with publisher SouthPeak Interactive. However, last September Jools revealed that they succesfully acquired the rights back to the property.
I am ecstatic to announce that Renegade Kid now has the rights to create Dementium sequels! EXCITE!!

In a livestream with Vinesauce, Jools has confirmed that they are already working on a port of the game for the 3DS, with a projected release date of Q2 2015. Aside from the jump in resolution, they are working on fixing the game's initial issues, including unfair save points and respawning enemies. They are also rebalancing the game to make it a more challenging experience.
