Anything that happens around E3 automatically comes with this suspicious connotation of future game announcements.
On Naughty Dog's Job Information Twitter account detailing any job openings at the studio, Naughty Dog advertised 19 new job openings.
The studio continues to grow with each new game release, so much so that their studio's size allowed them to assign a smaller team to start production on The Last of Us alongside the development of Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception.
The list of empty job positions currently consist of:
Senior Sound Designer
Gameplay Programmer
Graphics Programmer
Audio Programmer
Network Programmer
Tools Programmer
Programmer
Combat Game Designer
Coop Game Designer
MP Game Designer
Game Designer
Web Designer
Environment Artist
FX Artist
Texture Artist
Lighting Artist
Marketing Artist
Character Rigger
Character Artist
When evaluating the empty positions, the jobs range from Character Artists to Programmers to Multiplayer Designers. Also take into consideration the other employees and it seems the job listing suggests that Naughty Dog might want to open another studio or form another team to create a separate game.
With The Last of Us nearing the end of production, it remains quite possible Naughty Dog will either begin a project bigger than ever before, or create two games simultaneously. Since Sony will not neglect PlayStation 3 user base, maybe Naughty Dog will create both a PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 titles.
The Last of Us will release on June 14 and you watch Sony's E3 on June 10th where you might see Naughty Dog's next project for the PS4.
