Treyarch has already revealed a laundry list of changes they're making to Black Ops 2's multiplayer with the implementation of the "Pick 10" and Scorestreaks mechanics; but they're not stopping there.
In addition to changing how the Create-a-Class and Killstreaks work, the studio is also fiddling with Call of Duty's "Perks" and how they fit in the game. For starters, there won't be "pro" versions of Perks anymore. So that means you get to use what you want right off the bat without needing to unlock its tiered ability.
Speaking of fiddling, Black Ops 2's Game Design Director David Vonderhaar has just posted the following on Twitter regarding the "Ghost" Perk:
For those not familiar with the Perk, Ghost allows the user to not be seen on UAVs and is often used for camping. Treyarch took note of the concerns and for Black Ops 2, Ghost will only trigger/work when the player is moving. However, we can now officially add the tasks listed above as the other things that will trigger the Perk regardless if you're moving or not.
Is this a good compromise to make sure the Perk isn't abused like before? Sure seems like it and at least it can be used by objective-minded players to help out their team, too, no?
Black Ops 2 is scheduled for a November 13 release for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
