In the lead up to the release of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, Naughty Dog has been feeding us juicy morsels of information to whet our appetites without revealing an official release date. So far, we know The Lost Legacy will be a standalone game taking place six to twelve months after the events of Uncharted 4, and will centre around Chloe and Nadine. We also know that the game is set in India and will adopt a ‘wide linear’ style of gameplay, allowing players to venture off the set path very much like in Uncharted 4. Last but not least, we’ll be getting a villain in the form of insurgent rebel leader Asav – who has rather interestingly (but not altogether unsurprisingly) had dealings with Nadine in the past.
According to a recent post on the Official PlayStation Blog, writer Josh Scherr has revealed that the team “entertained a few possible ideas around including Nate as a secondary character” but ultimately, everything “felt superfluous because we tied it all up with Uncharted 4.” Game director Kurt Margenau expressed his thoughts on the matter with a more final statement: “We’re not going to touch on Nathan Drake in this, at all.”
