Most of the changes from this new Overwatch patch that has rolled out today on all platforms are things that have been featured on the PC version’s public test realm.
However, some of these changes are nerfs. Ana’s Biotic Rifle loses some of its damage (dropping from 80 to 60), Bastion’s damage resistance in Sentry or Tank form drops (going from 35 percent less damage to 20) and Zarya’s barriers no longer protect against knockback (this undoes a change from a recent patch.)
Others are buffs. As Zenyatta’s alt-fire loses its weapon spread and has a reduced cooldown (from 1 second to 0.6), the cooldown on Winston’s Barrier Projector now starts when it is activated, rather than when it expires. Junkrat’s explosions also no longer cause self-damage. Sombra also sees several tweaks: Translocator’s cooldown has been reduced, her teammates can see hacked health packs through walls, and enemies will need to be closer to hear her entering or exiting stealth.
There are also a few changes that don’t fall into these categories. In Competitive Play, Route 66 now provides attackers with an extra minute after reaching the first checkpoint, which according to Blizzard matches how things work on other Escort maps. Match stats and the Profile page also track how much increase damage was done by a player getting Mercy’s buff.
