It's been awhile since there's been any news on the first person shooter Serious Sam 3: BFE, but developer Croteam and publisher Devolver Digital announced today that the shooter will be going to Xbox Live Arcade. Yeah, a year later but hey, at least it made it.
The latest Jewel of the Nile DLC will be available as well. The game will cost 1200 Microsoft points or $15. This cost gets you the single-player, online and split-screen co-op campaigns. If you want to play competitively online (of course you do) you can grab both the DLC and unlock the ability to play online for another 1200 Microsoft points.
Serious Sam 3 was released to positive reviews on November 22, 2011 for PC. A PlayStation 3 date has yet to have been announced. It was particularly notable for having extensive digital rights management protections on it, such as having an invincible scorpion-like monster and prevents progression forward unless the players finds a way around it. If you got past that, in one level the game then made the player's camera spin around wildly while looking up in the air.
The Xbox 360 version of the game will be out on October 17th.
