Square Enix has released a new video feature for Hitman: Absolution and while it doesn't focus on gameplay that much. We do get a behind-the-scenes look at how IO Interactive did all the motion-capture and voice work for the game.
We do get to see a few hollywood stars make an appearance though. There's Vivica Fox who plays the lead "bad" nun, Shannon Sossamon (A Knight's Tale) and Powers Boothe (24, Deadwood) who plays the game's main bad guy Benjamin Travis.
Boothe also mentions that he needed to invent new smoking techniques for his character due to a camera being so close to his face. Tore Blystad also mentions that they're doing mo-cap work and then adding in the voice-work after. This doesn't even include the facial animation that they do separately.
Hopefully, this means Hitman: Absolution's narrative will be better than your usual shooter fare, no? Then again, Agent 47 isn't your usual shooter protagonist, right?
Hitman: Absolution is scheduled to ship on November 20 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
