Ubisoft is already cracking down on players who are gaining XP and rewards against the developer’s code of conduct when it comes to their latest release, For Honor. The latest installment to release under Ubisoft, For Honor, is a multiplayer brawler set in a medieval time period.
Just like with most multiplayer focused video games, there is a slew of players who are looking to take advantage of rewards and XP without having to put in the effort of actually playing the video game. This is known as AFK farming, a term in which players enter a video game and purposely leave the game open until the round ends.
For instance, For Honor rewards players with XP at the end of matches despite if you lose or win. Some gamers have rigged controllers such as placing rubber bands on the analog stick to avoid the game detecting an inactive player.
This has allowed select gamers to reap the rewards without any effort and that’s something which caused over 1,500 people to be banned. Ubisoft has alerted on Reddit that players are quickly being banned by AFK farming and over 4,000 separate gamers have already been warned after being detected of XP farming.
All-in-all, it’s best to enjoy the game as intended otherwise you may face the ban hammer from Ubisoft along with other developers who are against XP farming.
