In tonight's presidential debate Romney once again flung insults towards a group of people, this time it was the green energy technology companies.
Now, I like green energy as well, but that's about 50 years' worth of what oil and gas receives. You put $90 billion — like 50 years' worth of breaks — into solar and wind, to Solyndra and Fisker and Tesla and Ener1. I mean, I had a friend who said, you don't just pick the winners and losers; you pick the losers.
Losers, yes losers indeed. Once the coal and oil industries shut down because their sources of fuel are dried up green energy companies will be the ones laughing all the way to the bank Mr. Romney. I believe that, if it is true, the 90 billion dollars in tax breaks is a necessary move if we want to get green energy going. Companies are so caught up in oil that they aren't worrying about tomorrow, they are only worrying about the profit that they can gain today. That my friends is what will ultimately bring us to our doom. That and the sniffles.
