PlayStation Mobile Releases on Smartphones and PS Vita

Vita gets a lot of new games

Following their announcement two weeks ago, Sony made good on their word and released PlayStation Mobile to "certified" smartphones, tablets and their PlayStation Vita handheld. PlayStation mobile touts the ability to get "PlayStation-like games" on a variety of platforms. Downloading content and games can be done with your PSN account, if you have one.

The games themselves cost about $0.49 to as much as $7.49. The launch title list was long, which means that PS Vita got about 21 new titles, as did the rest of the platforms. You can share games across platforms of course, and Sony says that they're expanding their library all the time. With PlayStation Mobile now open to indie developers for a modest licensing fee, there are sure to be plenty of new games on the way, but for now, here's the launch list:

·         Rebel

·         Fuel Tiracas

·         Aqua Kitty – Milk Mine Defender

·         Underline

·         Samurai Beatdown

·         Beats Slider

·         Hungry Giraffe

·         Tractor Trails

·         Word Blocked

·         Flick Hockey

·         Beats Trellis

·         Wipe!

·         Nyoqix

·         Magic Arrows

·         Everybody's Arcade

·         Numblast

·         Loot the Land

·         Frederic – Resurrection of Music

·         Incurvio

Super Crate Box in particular is a game to consider trying, as 1UP has given it a glowing review on PS Mobile, stating it is the "best-playing version around."
