It isn't fun when games or content are delayed and given a vague future release date. Some times internet temper tantrums are thrown while other times…more internet temper tantrums are thrown. Rockstar has delayed their most recent DLC and this time it will probably be no different.
The "Hostage Negotiation Map Pack" DLC for Max Payne 3 was slated to be released last month, September, but never came. Rockstar has a time fram of "this Fall" for the new release date for the DLC, but vagueness got Nintendo nowhere and it sure as heck won't get you anywhere Rockstar.
To make Max Payne fans water at the mouth and want to buy their probably overpriced DLC even more, Rockstar has released some information and violent screenshots from the Map Pack.
The Map Pack, which is of course for multiplayer, will include a new faction called the "Filhos De Ogum". Maps will include the Club Moderno (a night club), the Estadio Do Galatians (a good ol' stadium shoot out), the O Palacio Strip Club (obvious), and Favela Heights. The latter two of which Rockstar claims will introduce characters to new favela territories.
For those of you who are Bullet Time fanatics and/or trigger happy two new weapons along with a few other items will come with this DLC. The M24 Sniper Rifle, the IA2 Assault Rifle, the explosive burst for "explosive booby traps, the bomb suit which will protect against damage from bombs…of course, and the intimidation mask that comes with the nice effect of slowing your enemy reload times.
Prices for the pack are as follows:
XBOX 360: 800 MP
Playstation 3: $9.99
If you are a Rockstar pass owner then the pack is yours free of charge.
